Dibrugarh University held its 3rd Graduation Ceremony on 06.08.2024 for international students. Five students graduated this year from various academic programmes. Prof. Surajit Borkotokey, the Director of the Office of International Affairs, delivered an address stating the internationalization objectives of the University.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jiten Hazarika delivered the Graduation Ceremony Address where he noted the rising number of international students at Dibrugarh University and stressed the importance of greater cross-cultural exchanges in academia.
The Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor distributed the certificates to the following five international students Dr. Ngonidzashe Kafesu from Zimbabwe, Ph.D. in Sociology, Ms. Pinki Francina Lefalo of Lesotho, M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Mr. Elias Julius Katenbo from Tanzania, M.A. in Education, Mr. Juma Dhieu Thep, South Sudan, B. Tech in Petroleum Engineering and Mr. Hussaini Abubakar Mustafa from Nigeria, Bachelors in Computer Application.
The outgoing students shared their experiences where they noted the conducive academic environment, ample residential facilities and warm and friendly people of the region
