Dibrugarh University Research Scholars’ Association and Gaurab Sanmilita Samaj (GSS) organized “Gyan Anweshan-6.0”

In the joint association of “Dibrugarh University Research Scholars’ Association” (DURSA) and “Gaurab Sanmilita Samaj” (GSS) a programme titled ‘Gyan Anweshan-6.0’ has been organized on 23rd May, 2024 at Sonari Town High School, Sivsagar. This event has been planned to honor the work and philosophy of the late student leader Gaurab Gogoi on the occasion of his sixth death anniversary. At the beginning of the event, the headmistress of the school, Debajani Phukan, lit the lamp in the portrait of Gaurab Gogoi. She was assisted by Dr. Lakhyajit Buragohain, President, Gaurab Sanmilita Samaj and Dimonjyoti Bora, President, DURSA. Dr. Lakhyajit Buragohain and Dr. Bhaskar Jyoti Boruah, Section Officer, Majuli University of Culture, delivered a lecture on ‘Life Philosophy of Gaurab Gogoi’ to introduce the students to the thoughts and deeds of Gaurab Gogoi. Dr. Pranjit Kalita, Secretary, Gaurab Sanmilita Samaj, Asst. Professor, Dibrugarh University, and Dr. Krishnarjun Bora, Executive Member, GSS, Scientist, ICMR, also delivered two keynote speeches on ‘Relevance of NEP in Higher Education’ and ‘Introduction and Application of Artificial Intelligence’ respectively. A colorful cultural program organized by the students of the school. This was followed by an interesting open quiz competition aimed at the intellectual excellence of schoolchildren. The competition was conducted by Jyotirmoyee Saikia, General Secretary, DURSA, along with other DURSA members. At the end of the program, Dr. Chandanjyoti Chutia, Assistant Professor, Manohari Devi Kanoi College, offered the vote of thanks. Various members of Gaurab Sanmilita Samaj, including Gautam Hazarika and Dr. Joydeep Borah, and members of the Dibrugarh University Research Scholars’ Association are also present in the program. The event has been successfully conducted with the participation and cooperation of students as well as teachers of Sonari Town High School.
