Anveṣaṇ, the Multidisciplinary Talk On Mental Health organized by Students’ Philosophical Forum, Dibrugarh University

Students’ Philosophical Forum of the Centre for Studies in Philosophy, as a part of its Regular Multidisciplinary Talk Programme Anveṣaṇ, organized a lecture on Mental Health on 30th September, 2024 at the Aniruddhadev Bhawan of the University. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Niharika Borgohain, Assistant Professor of Centre for Studies in Applied Psychology, Dibrugarh University. In her talk, the speaker deliberated upon the crucial part played by mental health in maintaining overall health of a person and thereby leading one to fulfil his/her personal goal. She emphasized the need of understanding mental health challenges and openness for psychological therapies to cope up with those challenges. The lecture was followed by interactive talk where students raised questions and ideas regarding certain mental health issues. The programme was graced by the presence of Faculty Members and Students of the Centre for Studies in Philosophy, Dibrugarh University.

It is to be mentioned that Students’ Philosophical forum of the Centre for Studies in Philosophy in order to enlarge the scope of study and understanding of the students, has been organising Multidisciplinary Talk Programme since 2013 by inviting teachers from other Department and Centre for Studies of the University.
