The World Pharmacists Day 2024 was celebrated on 25th September 2024 by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in collaboration with IPA Assam State Branch and Pharmaceutical Society of Dibrugarh University. The theme for this year was “Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs”. The event began with flag hoisting and an inaugural speech by HoD, Prof, Aparoop Das. A series of informative and motivating speeches were given by the faculty members regarding the history and significance of World Pharmacists Day. Following this, M. Pharm final year student MissRajlakshmiGogoi, who brought great honour to the department by securing first prize at the National Elocution Competition held at 73rd IPC 2024, Hyderabad, was honoured with a Hofura and FulamGamusa. The event proceeded with an elocution competition focusing on this year’s theme providing a platform for the students to express their opinions. Studentsshowcased beautiful cultural programs, and an inter-batch quiz competition wasalso organized where B. Pharm 4th Year students took the title of the champions. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Prakash Rajak, Honorary Secretary, IPA Assam State Branch.
