A Five-Day FDP on Design and Implementation of Outcome Based Curriculum organized by IQAC, Dibrugarh University during 2-6 April, 2024

IQAC organized a five-day FDP on ‘Design and Implementation of Outcome Based Curriculum’ during 2 – 6 April, 2024 in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research(NITTTR), Kolkata. Dr. Urmila Kar, Professor, Education and Management Department, NITTTR, Kolkata, was the resource person of the FDP. 70 faculty members from all the Departments and Centres of Dibrugarh University attended the FDP.  Hon’ble VC of Dibrugarh university inaugurated the FDP and highlighted the importance of the program.

The sessions started with the discussion on curriculum development process in line with the Vision and Mission of Dibrugarhuniversity. The faculty members were oriented in order to have clarity on Programme Educational Objectives(PEOs), Programme Outcomes (POs), Programme Specific Outcomes( PSOs), Course Outcomes (COs) and Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) , in accordance with which the course contents, lesson plans and assessment processes are to be designed. The faculty members were also trained and encouraged to use different levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy in order to improve the learning outcomes of students.

The FDP was a success in its objective of training the faculty members to design and implement Outcome Based Curriculum in alignment with NEP 2020.
