International Collaboration in Action: Department of Applied Geology Hosts Talk on Cutting-Edge Tectonic Research

As a part of International Collaboration between Dibrugarh University (led by Dr. Devojit Bezbaruah and Prof. Pradip Borgohain); West Washington University, USA; Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and J.B. College, Jorhat sponsored by US Science Foundation, a team comprising of Dr. Paul Betka and Mr. Thomas Urbina of West Washington University; Dr. Aisilin Reynolds, Georgia Institute of Technology, USA visited Dibrugarh University. Dr. Betka delivered a talk on “Active Tectonics off the Indo – Burman Forearc, a revised Perspective from new Structural and Geodetic Modelling” on 26th March, 2024 at 11am at the Prof. S.K. DUTTA Memorial Conference Hall of the Department of Applied Geology. Dr. Betka interacted with the students. A good number of Faculties, research scholars and students participated in the interaction.
