Two Days a capacity building Workshop on Football Coaching to train the untrained coaches was organized by the Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports Dibrugarh University) in collaboration with Assam Football Association (Zone A) and Dibrugarh District Sports Association in support of all the eight districts of Assam Football Association (Zone A) i.e. Dibrugarh District Sports Association, Tinsukia District Sports Association, Nazira District Sports Association, Moran District Sports Association, Charaideo District Sports Association, Sadiya District Sports Association, Margherita District Sports Association on 28th and 29th October 2023 in the Dibrugarh University campus. A total of 77 coaches (male 67 and female 10) have participated in the course. AFC B Licence Coach Mr. L. Kamalakanta Singh and Dr. Mantu Baro Director & AFC C Licence Coach had been the instructor of the workshop. Prof. Devid Kardong, Dept. of Life Sciences and NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. Debajit Dutta, Vice-President, and Chairman of Zone A Assam football Association, Mr. Sanjib Boruah, Assistant Secretary, Assam Football Association, Mr. Manash Dutta, Vice President, Dibrugarh District Sports Association, Mr. Atul Bora Former Assistant Secretary, Assam Football Association and Dr. Mantu Baro, Director ic and Chairman Technical cum Disciplinary Committee, Assam football Association Zone A were grace the inauguration programme.
