As per the directives of Ministry Youth & Sports, Govt. of India and Regional Directorate, NSS Guwahati, the volunteers of NSS PG Unit engaged themselves in the Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign on 1st Oct 2023. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Office of the District Transport Officer, Dibrugarh at DTO office and nearest places. The event, led by Trishamoyee Borah, saw the participation of around 40 dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to promote awareness about single-use plastic within the community. Programme Coordinator, Dr. Devid Kardong from Department of Life Sciences, Dr. Krishno Prasad Gogoi from Department of Education, and Dr. Manashree Chetia from Department of Philosophy provided valuable guidance throughout the program. Notable guests from the DTO office, including Hirak Jyoti Deka, DTO Dibrugarh, Debajyoti Dutta, MVI Dibrugarh, Ritul Borgohain, Enforcement Officer, and other office staff, attended the event, making it a resounding success. The whole plan was executed under the guidance of Dr. Amar Upadhyaya, Programme Officer, NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University.
