Awareness program on ‘Mental and Physical Health for a Healthy Lifestyle’

The Dibrugarh University Officers’ Association (DUOA) organized an awareness program on ‘Mental and Physical Health for a Healthy Lifestyle’ for the Officers, Teachers and Employees of the University on 13th Oct, 2023 at the Indira Miri Conference Hall. The program was inaugurated by Prof. Jahnabi Gogoi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Officiating), Dibrugarh University. She has emphasized the need to take care of our mental and physical health and opined that, if we ignore our health issues then we will be doing grave injustice to ourselves. She further extended complements for the organizers for organizing such a program in the University and expectedthat the University fraternity will get benefitted considerably from such program. Dr. Pranjal Dutta (Associate Professor, Deptt. Of General Medicine, AMCH, Dibrugarh) and Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bhuyan (Associate Professor, Deptt. Of Psychiatry, AMCH, Dibrugarh) were invited as resource persons for the program. Both Dr. Dutta and Dr. Bhuyan have enlightened the University fraternity with their words of wisdom and eloquent speeches. They stressed that all of us can ill afford to ignore our mental and physical health and we need to take adequate care with regard to diet, exercise and habitual problems for preventing any unforeseen incidents with our health. They also opined that it is always important to take preventive steps for securing our physical and mental health in the event of a stressful life. The program was presided by Sri. Monuj Tamuli (President, Dibrugarh University Officers’ Association) and vote of thanks was offered by Dr. Jitu Ranjan Chetia (Secretary, Dibrugarh University Officers Association). The program was graced by the respective President and Secretary and office bearers of Dibrugarh University Teachers’ Association and Dibrugarh University Employees’ Association as well.
