FIPI Dibrugarh University Student Chapter in collaboration with SPE Dibrugarh University Student Chapter conducted a plantation drive at Kumaranichiga Girls Primary School and Department of Petroleum Technology, Dibrugarh University on the occasion of World Environment Day themed as ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. The event was attended by FIPI & SPE Core Committee members in presence of school authority and Government of Assam officials.
The event at Department of Petroleum Technology was presided by Dr. (Mrs.) Subrata Borgohain Gogoi, HoD, Dr. Pradip Borgohain, Dr. Ranjan Phukan, Dr. Borkha Mech and Dr. Himanta Borgohain, professors of the department. The student fraternity were encouraged to promote sustainable development.
The focus and aim of the programme was planned and briefed by Dr. Borkha Mech, Faculty Advisor of FIPI D.U. Student Chapter.
