As per the directives of Ministry Youth & Sports, Govt. of India and Regional Directorate, NSS Guwahati, the NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University Celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 31st October, 2022 in the premises of Dibrugarh University. The Unit organized Ekta Pledge taking ceremony among the volunteers and Unity run in the campus. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Jiten Hazarika, honourable Vice-Chancellor of Dibrugarh University. In the inauguration speech, he mentioned the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in nation building during the post independence phase of our country. The programme was also attended by Prof. S. Borkotokey, Dean, Students Affairs, Dibrugarh University, Prof. Devid Kardong, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University, Dr. Himadri Barman, Assistant Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University, Security Officer, Dibrugarh University and many others. Prof. D. Kardong initiated the unity pledge taking ceremony among the volunteers and other students. Later approximately 2 KM unity run was conducted in the campus. The celebration was concluded with a plantation done by Prof. S. Borkotokey, Dean, Students Affairs, Dibrugarh University in front of the office of the Deans. The whole programme was led by Dr. Amar Upadhyaya, Programme Officer, NSS PG Unit, Priyanka Madaluwal, Abhijit Moran, Trishamoyee Borah, Imtaz Hussain, Nayana Saikia and Padmjyoti Moran, the senior volunteers of NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University.
