NSS PG Unit conducted 3 day Swachatta event at Dibrugarh University observed from 19th May to 22nd May 2022

A step towards a swachh paribesh is an indicator of progress of human being with the motto to keep the environment clean and plastic free. The NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University has organized a three days programme of MEGA CLEANLINESS DRIVE on 24th, 25th and 26th of May, 2022 at Dibrugarh University campus. The activity has been started at morning from the Jyoti batsora and group of volunteers were distributed to the nearby areas. Volunteers removed all garbages from the highlighted areas like Vishranta, Rangghar Auditorium, Lakhminath Bezbaroa Library, DU Haat, Josaag Tiniali and Bishnurabha. During the activity, volunteers were provided necessity items like brooms, garbage bags, gloves, etc. They energetically collected the plastic wastage and pledged to keep in the trash bags and were later shipped by the trash van. They also removed the grasses and chopped the unwanted bushes along road side. The event was led by Trishamoyee Borah, the senior volunteer of NSS DUPG Unit under the guidance of Dr. Amar Upadhyaya, Programme Officer, NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University. Around 40 volunteers have participated in this Mega event with great enthusiasm and endurance. The programme Officer has motivated by sharing his work of experience in the volunteering field and ended the programme by encouraging the volunteers.
