Investors’ Awareness Program organized by the Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University in association with BSE Ltd.

The Department of Commerce had recently organized an online Investors’ Awareness Program in association with BSE Ltd. for two consecutive days i.e on 19th and 20th May, 2022. The objective of the Program was to clear the perspective of investment amongst the students. The total number of students attending the program was 120 which comprised of students from M.com 4th semester, M.com 2nd semester and from the Generic Elective course i.e ‘Introduction to stock Market’. The Resource person for the both days was Ms.Marina Jose Kanjikal, currently working as a resource person of BSE-IPF to conduct Investors Awareness Program across India. On 19th May, the program was started at 3:30 with a brief introduction by Prof. Seema S. Singha, Head of the Department, Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University. The Resource person started her session by detailing about the principles of investing in the stock market followed by an explanation on how to select a company for the purpose of investing. The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students for half an hour. On 20th May the program was started at 3:30 with an introduction by Ms. Barsha Kalita, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University. Besides the M.com students, the students from the Generic Elective Course (Introduction to Stock Market) which includes students from various other departments of the University were highly benefited. The second session was followed by an interactive session for 20mins. And lastly, the Program was concluded with a Vote of Thanks to the Resource Person.
