On 31st March 2022, the 11th annual convention of the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) was held at the Dibrugarh University. The event was exclusively sponsored by the OIL , IOCL and ONGC.
The chief guests of the events were :

Shri T K Sengupta (Director (E&P) FIPI)
Apart from this, the faculties and students from the department of DUIET, PTECH, and APPLIED GEOLOGY were present.
The event started at 9 am and ended at 5 pm. The students’ chapters from various other states participated in the event. The students from the various chapters showcased their yearly reports of their performances and presented them in Infront of the judges. And accordingly, at the end of the session, the best presenter and the best chapter award were given away by the judges.
In the end, it can be finally concluded that the 11th convention was a great success and it brought enlightenment to the people present there. PDEU secured the Best chapter runners up award, UPES secured the Best Chapter award and Dibrugarh University Secured a Special Award for Chapter Activities.
