Dr. Pankaj Chetia, Assistant Professor of Department of Life Sciences, Dibrugarh University, has been awarded the Prof. Arun Kumar Pandey Biodiversity Medal in recognition of his research work on DNA Barcoding of different plant groups.
The award was conferred online on 21 February, 2022 at the National Seminar on Plant Taxonomy and Traditional Knowledge in the Himalayas & North-East India organised by Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar in collaboration with Botanical Survey of India, Kolkata and East Himalayan Society for Spermatophyte Taxonomy.
The achievement highlights the commitment of Dibrugarh University towards upholding the Global Goals, especially SDG -15 , pertaining to promoting Life on Land.
