DU Celebrates 75th Independence Day

The 75th Independence Day of the nation was celebrated at Dibrugarh University on 15th August, 2021. Professor L.K. Nath, Vice Chancellor i/c, Dibrugarh University hoisted the national flag in presence of Registrar Prof. Jiten Hazarika and teachers, officers, employees, students and people from neighbouring area. In his address Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor focused on all-round developmental aspects of the University. He mentioned about the duties and responsibilities of individuals towards the development of society and the country. He also requested to keep the sense of belongingness towards family, society, institution, state and the country to contribute for it’s all over development by executing their responsibilities.

In the occasion of Independence Day, a pledge also taken by the University fraternity aiming to maintain spirit and togetherness while discharging duties and responsibilities for all-round development of the University in coming days. The Registrar, Prof. Jiten Hazarika read out the pledge and the august gathering followed him.

During the programme Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Students Union felicitated all the security personnels of the University for their dedicated service towards the safety and security of the university.

A friendly football match was also played by the teachers, officers and employees of the university as a symbol of unity, team spirit and togetherness.
