Dibrugarh University observed the World Environment Day on 05.06.2019 in a colorful manner. The programme was arranged by the Centre for Studies in Physical Education and sports, Dibrugarh University NCC Unit & Key Resource Centre. In the occasion, Plantation Programme, Run/Walk for Awareness of Environment and Essay Writing competition were held. Around fifty plantations were made around the Dibrugarh University playground (New Athletic Track) by the dignitaries and other participants. During the programme Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ranjit Tamuli grace the occasion as chief guest and address gathering on the tread to environment and conservation of environment. Dr. H.C. Mahanta, Registrar, Dibrugarh University, Prof. Nirode Boruah, Dean Students Affairs & Director, Community Radio Gyanamalini, D.U., Dr. Devid Kardong , HoD, Life Scineces, Dr. Mantu Baro, In charge of Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports were participated in the observation programme.
