The annual event, Geolino was successfully conducted on 29th November, 2018 by Centre for Studies in Geography, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh. The theme of this year Geography Awareness Week was “Ignite the Spirit of Exploration”. The honourable Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Bijoy Krishna Handique, Scientist SF, NESAC, Department of Space Govt. of India, Umiam, Meghalaya. He delivered a lecture on Application of UAV. The interaction after the lecture was lively. He released the Centre’s Journal of namely, “Asian Journal of Spatial Science”, Vol. 6, 2018. The sixth issue of the Annual News Letter of Centre’s was released by Dr. Jutimoni Bordoloi, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Moran College and the centre’s sixth issue of the Eco-Bulletin was released by the Chairperson, Dr Kalpana Deka Kalita. At last Dr. Handique, felicitated the rank holders of the M.A./M.Sc of final examination of the 2018 with Santi Aparna Memorial Trust, Assam (SAMTA) awards.
