Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports, Dibrugarh University Organized AIFF D Coaching Certificate Course

he Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports (CSPESDU) , Dibrugarh University successfully conducted the AIFF D Coaching Certificate Course from June 23-27, 2024. The course was organized under the aegis of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in association with the Assam Football Association.

A total of 24 candidates from across the northeastern states participated in the course, including 21 male and 3 female candidates. Mr. Chingtham Rabisankar Singh served as the AIFF coach educator for the course.

Approximately 90 players from various football coaching centers in Dibrugarh, namely Barbarua Football Coaching Centre, Luit Football Coaching Centre, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Football Coaching Centre, Rainbow Football Coaching Centre, and Kopidhaj Football Coaching Centre, participated, making the course a meaningful experience.

The inaugural program was attended by Mr. Moni Saikia, a renowned veteran sports organizer; Mr. Ruhini Buragohain, Deputy Registrar i/c (Admin), Dibrugarh University; and Dr. O. Jiten Singh, Associate Professor, CSPESDU. Faculty members of CSPESDU, coaches from the respective football coaching centers, and parents graced the closing ceremony with their presence.

As the organizer of the course, Dr. Mantu Baro, Director Incharge of the Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports, Dibrugarh University, offered heartfelt thanks to the Dibrugarh University authorities, All India Football Federation, Assam Football Association, Dibrugarh University Health Centre, Department of Education, Dibrugarh University Sports Office, Coach Educator Rabisankar Singh, official photographer Lengdon Handique, Wardens of LDCN and PDCN, DU, as well as the staff and students of CSPESDU and the Sports Office. He also extended thanks to all the coaching centers, coaches, parents, Mr. Aman Dubey from AIFF, the Dibrugarh University Guest House, and the Dibrugarh University security officer and his staff for their sincere support during the program.

A special vote of thanks was given to Mr. Pranjal Bhumij, an international player, and Mrs. Dipti Hazarika Basumatary, a former senior women’s national player, for their participation in the course.
