October 2011          Invited to deliver a Plenary Talk in the International Conference on “Gao Xingjian: Freedom, Fate and Prognostication” organized and fully funded by International Consortium for Research in the Humanities, at the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Title of the Lecture:“Gao Xingjian’s Soul Mountain: In Search of the Lonely Voice”.

September 2015       Presented a paper in the International Conference on “Green Knowledge” organised by the Association for the Study of Literature, UK and Ireland (ASLE-UKI) held in Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Title of the Paper: “Place, Landscape and Memory in Gao Xingjian’s Soul Mountain and Kiran Desai’s The Inheritance of Loss.

June 2016                  Participated in the First Annual Summer Institute in Chinese Studies and Global Humanities on “Grasping Water: Rivers and Human Systems in China, Africa and North America. The Summer Institute has been held at the Institute for Advanced Study at the University of Minnesota, United States from June 13-17, 2016. Participated in the event as a Resource Person and all the expenses had been fully sponsored by The Consortium of Humanities Centre and Institutes, University of Minnesota, USA.

June 2007                  Presented a Paper in the National Seminar on “Shakti Cult and Tantricism” organised under the sponsorship of the Centre for Studies in Civilizations- New Delhi (Under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India) at Guwahati. Title of the paper:  “Sri Yantra: A Symbol of Cosmic Consciousness”.

December 2016          Participated in the Course on “Travel Writing: Texts, Theories, and Frameworks for Analysis” organised by Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN) in Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar during 19-29 December 2016.

September 2016         Participated as a Resource Person in the seven-day Translation Workshop in English held on 28 September - 4 October, 2016, organised by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi in collaboration with the Department of English, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh.

October 2018              Participated in “Two Weeks Capacity Building Programme for Young Social Science Faculty”sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi in collaboration with School of Social Sciences & International Studies, Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry, held from 18-31 October 2018.

Nobember 2008          Participated in the Autumn School on “The Oral as Resource” organized by the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla from 1-14 November 2008 and presented a Paper titled “The Ramayana and Khuliya Bhauria- Oral tradition in Performing Arts”.
