Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) (SBM (G)) was launched on 2nd Oct 2014 by the Govt. of India which aims to achieve Swachh Bharat(Clean India) by 2019, by making Gram Panchayats Open Defecation Free (ODF), clean and sanitized.
District Water & Sanitation Committee (DWSC), Dibrugarh and Dibrugarh University, Assam have joined hands to achieve the goal of SBM(G) and support the DWSC in implementation of SBM (G) in the district in different areas viz., communication, capacity building and evaluation etc.
As an initiation of this partnership, Dibrugarh University organized a convention of Principals/Vice-Principals, Nodal Teachers and Student Coordinators of Colleges, Departements and Centres of Studies on December 20, 2015 in collaboration with District Water and Sanitation Committee, Dibrugarh
