Under the aegis of the All Assam Karate Association, the Dibrugarh District Karate Do Association, in collaboration with Dibrugarh University, organized a four-day Summer Training Camp on “Kumite” at the Dibrugarh University Indoor Auditorium from July 3rd to July 6th, 2024.
Around 90 participants from Dibrugarh District attended the camp. The training program was inaugurated by Dr. Dipjyoti Gogoi, Sports Officer of Dibrugarh University. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Dibrugarh University, Prof. Jiten Hazarika, graced the occasion as the chief guest and encouraged the participants.
International Karate Player, Commonwealth and South Asian Gold Medalist Raja Yangpho provided the training during the camp. In the concluding event, District President Shri Niren Phukan congratulated the participants for successfully completing the training programme. District Secretary Shri Anjan Chetia offered vote of thanks to all the members of the Association, Dibrugarh University Administration, Participating Karate Academies, the trainees and their guardians.
