Dibrugarh University in association with Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 11.05.23.The MOU is between Bajaj Finserv Ltd., Bajaj Finance Ltd., and the Dibrugarh University.The MOU is to conduct Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance, and Insurance (CPBFI). This course is provided under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Bajaj Finserv Ltd. The objective of CPBFI is to impart practical knowledge and essential skills to the students with a view to create employment opportunities for them in the Banking, Finance, and Insurance sector.It will also provide communication and other workplace skills.
The MOU has been signed by the Registrar of Dibrugarh University, Dr. Paramananda Sonowal in the presence of Honourable Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University, Prof. Jiten Hazarika, Dean Faculty of Commerce and Management Science, Prof. K.C Goswami, Head, Department of Commerce, Prof. Seema S. Singha, Mr. Ashutosh Sharma, Resource Person of CPBFI, Public Information and Law Officer, Dibrugarh University, Mr. Devraj Sarmah, and all the other faculty members of the Department of Commerce. Dr. Jutimala Bora, Coordinator of the CPBFI gave a brief introduction of the course and its benefits for the students. She has informed that classes of the 1st Batch of the course have already been started in the Department of Commerce. This Certificate programme is introduced for the mutual benefit of both the organisation under the industry-academia interface.
