Centre for Social Work Studies organised a 5-day Study tour in collaboration with the Research Institute of World’s Ancient Traditions Cultures and Heritage (RIWATCH), Roing, Arunachal Pradesh

The Centre for Social Work Studies organised a 5-day Study tour from 22 to 26th of February in collaboration with the Research Institute of World’s Ancient Traditions Cultures and Heritage (RIWATCH), Roing, Arunachal Pradesh for the 4th semester students along with two supervisors Dr. Ansai Bathou Basumatary and Kristy Rekha Chamua. The main objective of the tour was to understand and get a gist of various institutions working with the indigenous communities of Arunachal Pradesh. With the support of RIWATCH, the students got the opportunity to visit institutions such as Nani Maria Society, Kasturba Gandhi Higher Education Institute, Jimbo Village, Idu Mishimi Textile Store, and District Hospital and also lerant about community conservation. The students and the supervisors are extremely grateful towards the staff members of RIWATCH for their kind gestures and hospitality. The study tour to Roing was truly a success as the students were filled with knowledge which will be helpful in their practice-based profession.
