National Seminar at Pharmaceutical Sciences ends successfully

A two days’ Seminar on “Integration of Traditional Herbal medicines of NE India in Clinical Practice: Importance, Challenges and Future” was organized on 4th and 5th November, 2022 by Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dibrugarh University in collaboration with Research Institute of World’s Ancient Traditions Cultures and Heritage (RIWATCH), Roing, Arunachal Pradesh. 174 participants have participated and out of them 84had given their Poster presentations. The Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Jiten Hazarika, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University in presence of various dignitaries. Prof. Bidyut Chandan Deka, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat had given the key note address. The eminent speakers includes Prof Raj Kumar, HoD and Dean, Dept. of Pharm. Sciences and Natural Products, Central University of Punjab, Bhathinda, Punjab, Mr.Vijay Swami, Fulbright Fellow and Executive Director, RIWATCH, Prof. Padmaraj Gajurel, NERIST, Itanagar, Dr.Gokul Baishya, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Dr.Nandini Dholapat ,Visiting Faculty, RIWATCH, Dr,Nirmal Kumar Awasthi from ParamparagarhVanoushudhi Prashikshit Vidya Sangh, Bilaspur, Chhatisgarh and Dr. B.Borkakoti, from RMRC-ICMR.

Certificates for the first, second and third best poster presentation was awarded. The Seminar ended with a Valedictory program with concluding remarks from the Dean, R&D Prof. D. Chetia, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Prof. B B Kakoti, Dr. K Zaman, Jt.Secretary along with the participants. The Organising Committee thanks one and all for successful completion of the Seminar.
