Students and faculties of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering (DUIET), Dibrugarh University, organized a Cycle rally as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week (31 October – 6 November 2022) on 2nd November, 2022 at 7.30 am. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) mandated the event. The objective of the cycle rally was to raise people’s awareness about corruption and its negative consequences. “Say No to Corruption” was the rally’s catchphrase.
The rally was officially flagged off from Dibrugarh University’s Sir M. Visvesvaraya Bhavan. The participants took the University Link road to Amolapatty and then the Assam trunk road route back to the starting point. Hundreds of people who lived in the area of the route saw what happened and the message “corruption will not be accepted” was conveyed to them. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sudipta Majumder and Ms. Elora Baruah. The event’s organizers are grateful to the University administration, the University health unit, and the University security team for their support and assistance. The event is part of a series of scheduled events intended to raise awareness about corruption.
