Centre for Studies in Journalism & Mass Communication (CSJMC), Dibrugarh University today successfully conducted the DU Photofest 2022 at P.A. Sangma Activity Centre, Dibrugarh University.
The event showcased a photo exhibition featuring photographs of photography enthusiasts from different parts of the country. The photographs were submitted as a part of an online photography competition in the DSLR and Mobile Phone categories, that was organised to celebrate the World Photography Day 2022. The winners of the competition were announced today. An expert talk on “Photography as a career in Assam” was delivered also by Ashkaran Roy, a seasoned photographer.
To mark the occasion, Prof. P. K. Gogoi, Chairperson, CSJMC, Dibrugarh University, said, “Photographs are very important for one’s life, they connect us to the past, they remind us of beautiful memories, people, places and stories. I feel very pleased to see the keenness for photography amongstour students.”
Special Invitee Mr. Ashkaran Royin his address, said, “If you set eyes on something and yearn to capture it at once, then don’t let the essence of the moment slip through time”
This all-day event that offered a platform for a reminiscence of remarkable journeys, memorable stories and interactive sessions ended with a vote of thanks from the organisers.
