July 1, 2022: Dibrugarh University is celebrating its 58th Foundation Day today.
In the morning, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dibrugarh University Prof. L.K. Nath hoisted the Flag of the University in the Administrative Building where Faculty Members, Officers, Employees and Student Representatives were present. Prof. Jiten Hazarika, the Registrar of the University has paid tributes to the Founders of the University by lighting of lamp before the statue of Dr. L.P. Dutta.
Later, in a formal program, Prof. Nagen Saikia, Eminent Litterateur, Former Chair Professor of the Lakshminath Bezbaroa Chair in the Department of Assamese, had addressed the University Community on the occasion of the Foundation Day. In his address, Prof. Saikia called upon the stakeholders of the University to put forward their sincere most efforts to uplift the University to greater heights. The program was presided over by Prof. L.K. Nath. Prof. Jiten Hazarika has also addressed the gathering and expressed the determination of the University Authorities to overcome all the challenges the University has been facing in the recent times
