NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University organized NSS Special Camp 2022

National Service Scheme (NSS) PG Unit Dibrugarh University organized its Special Camp 2022 with a theme “Responsibility for Sustainability” from 13th June to 18th June 2022. Total 40 volunteers of the unit participated in the special camp. The camp was designed and coordinated by Dr. Amar Upadhyaya, Programme Officer of the Unit. The inauguration ceremony was held on 13th June at Indira Miri Conference hall with presence of Prof. S. Borkotokey, Dean, Student affairs, DU, Dr. Himadri Barman, Assistant Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, DU, Mr. Pranjit Kalita, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Applied Geology, DU and Dr. Amar Upadhyaya. A series of activities were conducted to empower the volunteers of the unit. Cleanliness drive at Dibrugarh Town, Training on life skills and Volunteering, Training on Mental health issues, Yoga practices, Civil defense training, School visit, Creation of Fruit garden in the campus, Survey on Waste Management, Vermi compost preparation camp at adopted village, Veterinary camp at adopted village  were some of the important activities of the camp. The theme of the camp was chosen in the line of Sustainable Development Goals 2030. The camp was ended with a certificate distribution ceremony on 18th June 2022 and the same was attended by Dr. Devid Kardong, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, DU, Dr. Himadri Barman, Assistant Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, DU, and Dr. Krishna Prasad Gogoi, HoD, Dept of Education, DU. The Programme Officer, Dr. Amar Upadhyaya offered thanks to all members of University family for their support and guidance.
