As a part of its extension activities, Dibrugarh University Officers’ Association (DUOA) observed the Bishnu Rabha Divas on 20th June 2022 in association with Rupnagar Jatiya Bidyalaya, Dibrugarh. The event was observed to commemorate the contributions of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha in the field of social work, music, dance, painting, literature etc. The organisers had invited students from nearby schools to create awareness amongst the young minds regarding the contribution of Bishnu Prasad Rabha towards the greater Assamese society.
The daylong programme was scheduled with several events viz. Singing Competition, Drawing Competition and Open Quiz session followed by an invited lecture delivered by Dr. Pranjal Buragohain, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Dibrugarh University on the topic “Why we should know Bishnu Rabha ?”.
The programme followed by the award distribution ceremony for the winners, which was presided over by the President, DUOA. The Programme was finally concluded with a concluding remark and a vote of thanks by the President, DUOA and General Secretary, DUOA respectively.
