Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports Dibrugarh University organized Inter Department Football Tournament successfully from 21 to 27 May, 2022. Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology became champion by defeating Centre for Computer Studies and Applications. Tapan Boruah of DUIET adjusted as Player of the Final. Prof. Jiten Hazarika Registrar, Prof. Nirode Boruah , Dean Student Affairs, Dr. Binod Borah , Joint Registrar (Academic), Prof. Kalyan Bhuyan, Director, IQAC, Dr. Dipjyoti Gogoi , Sports Officer, Mr. Sashindralal Bhuyan , Sr. Sports Journalist, Mr. Rajiv Saikia, Referee Secretary, DDSA, Mr. Jiban Gogoi, National Referee, Dr. Pankaj Chetia, Assistant Professor, Bimal Ch. Gogoi, SDSO and faculty members of CSPES and SASU were grace the occasion. The event was organized by the football Specialization Students under the guidance of Director i/c, CSPES and Teacher co-ordinator, Dr. O Jiten Singh. Students of CSPESDU the AFA Cat 5 qualified Referee were acted as the match officials during entire Tournament. The tournament was inaugurated on 21st May 2022. Dr. Jituranjan Chetia, Secretary, Dibrugarh University Officers Association, Dr. Dipjyoti Gogoi, Sports Officer, Dibrugarh University, Dr. Mantu Baro Centre I/C, CSPES and other faculty members of the Centre were grace the occasion. In the tournament, total 11 teams namely Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports, Department of Commerce, Department of History, Department of Pharmaceutical Science, Centre for Languages, DUIET, Centre for Studies in Philosophy, Centre for Management Studies, Centre for Juridical Studies and Dept. of Petroleum Technology were participated. The tournament was organized to create healthy environment of the University.
