On 21st of May, 2022 (Saturday), the 4th semester students, research scholars and faculty members of the Department of Commerce visited the Dihing Patkai National Park, Digboi Forest Division, Soraipung range to explore the various aspects of tourism industry. The Teacher in Charge of the Field Visit Dr. Jutimala Bora, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce was accompanied by Prof. Seema S. Singha, HOD and other faculty members Ms Bishakha Chetia, Ms Barsha Kalita and Ms Pinky Gogoi. The resource persons of the Industrial/Academic field visit were Dr. Deborshee Gogoi, and Mr. Gauri Borgohain, from Digboi College.
Dr. Deborshee Gogoi, Resource person had made a presentation on ‘Birdwatching Tourism’ and the significance of Dihing Patkai National Park. The resource persons highlighted various entrepreneurial opportunities in the Tourism sector in Assam. The whole team was immensely benefitted through this presentation and the field visit.
