A student project in Dibrugarh University has been granted a patent by the Commissioner of Patents, IP Australia. Four students of the 2018 B. Tech class (Computer Science and Engineering) carried out the work under the supervision of Assistant Professor, Mr. Abhijit Boruah of Dibrugarh University. The patent was filed in May 2021.
Title of the invention: A LiDAR point classification system for visualizing and processing LiDAR data and its method thereof.
The team consisted of the following students-
Mr. Arpan Phukan, Mr. Pronam Phukan, Mr. Rohit Sinha, Mr. Shyamal Hazarika and Assistant Professor, Mr. Abhijit Boruah, of the Dibrugarh University Institute for Engineering Technology.
