A Bicycle rally was organized by the Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports, Dibrugarh University in collaboration with 46 Assam Medical Company, Dibrugarh and Dibrugarh University Unit on 27.02.2022. The rally was started from Bishnu Rabha Rangamancha premises of the University via Duwarachuk, Chiring Chapori, Amolapatty Chariali and concluded in the starting venue. NCC cadets of the University, Teachers, officers, employees, students and NCC Staff of the 46 Assam Med Coy Unit actively participated in the rally by displaying awareness slogans in their hands. Just before the rally, Honb’le Vice-Chancellor i/c Prof. L.K. Nath and the Registrar Prof. Jiten Jazarika appreciated the initiative and encouraged the participants with their valuable speeches. Both of them highlighted the necessity of following the traffic rules and the new policy on speed limit issued by the Govt. of Assam. They requested the participants to follow the government rules to ensure road safety in their life and create awareness amongst the general public. Prof. L. K. Nath, Vice-Chancellor i/c flagged off the rally.
After the rally, a Swacchata Abhiyan was also carried out in the Bishnurabha Rangamancha premises.
