World Water Day 2021

The Centre for Studies in Geography of Dibrugarh University organized World Water Day 2021 on 22.3.2021 under the guidance of Dr. Shukla Acharjee. A series of different activities were conducted by the students. This year the theme for World Water Day 2021 is “Valuing Water”. Hand-made posters related to the international theme were made and displayed. Along with that a model was made in the front of Jo: Sag and the theme of the model was “Plastic: as a barrier of Ground Water Percolation”. The programme started by planting saplings in the front of Centre for Studies in Geography, near Jyoti Batsora and Jo Sag and plantation was done by the Assistant Professors of Centre for Studies in Geography Diram Bori and Jyoti Saikia. Later a rally was organized inside the University campus.  The students thanked the Chairperson of the Centre, Dr. Pranjal Pratim Buragohain for the motivation and encouragement.
